I'm gonna be straight up I don't even remember what time this brings me back to, this mixtape came out August 2014 so I would've been going into twelfth grade and at that time I had already developed a taste for rap. I found out about Travi$ Scott all in one go. I looked though my SoundCloud account to find the playlists I liked at the same time as this mixtape and the mixtape I liked just before this one was Owl Pharaoh. I remember the first song I heard off this project was Don't Play, the one that features The 1975 and Big Sean. I was confused cause I didn't recall hearing about Travi$ before but I knew his voice. It took me a while to realize that he was featured on Cruel Summer and he was a XXL freshman year of 2013.
Listening to this mixtape wasn't as easy as streaming it through Apple Music, because Apple Music doesn't do mixtapes, nonetheless downloading this tape off of HotNewHipHop wasn't all that hard and was well worth it. Honestly, this tape goes down in my records as one of the best. I would definitely recommend this mixtape, just know that this project doesn't share a lot of similarities with Scott's debut album Rodeo, but in my opinion this tape is way better.
