Waking at Dawn // Roy Wood$

Like most, my first introduction to this Brampton native was through his song "Drama" which had a feature from Toronto heavyweight Drake. Soon after Wood$ blew up on the scene he released his debut project "Exis" and went under the radar shortly after.  More recently, Roy came out with a new Album which has a more developed tracklist and overall sound.

This album has a very distinct sound which is unique to Roy. I remember when Exis was first released and I would listen to it on repeat, I was intrigued the way each song was full of passion. On this album Wood$ comes thru with some heat but every song will still get your body swaying side to side. Hit the album if you're down for something new and unique in the rap community.
